goodness, i'm so fed up...
27 October 2004

i can't wait for this whole political season to be over. not that i don't like thinking about issues, but not all the stinkin' time! it seems like every other blog i look at is a rant on politics and voting.
blah blah.
vote for bush.
blah blah.
vote for kerry.
blah blah.
this is why you will not find posts about political issues on my blog: the rest of the world, including my friends, already does a good enough job of it! (not that i look down on my friends for these things)

don't get me wrong, i'm not a shallow person and i think this stuff is important; i'm just fed up with the arguments and back-and-forth of all these issues. and anyway, it's not as if voting is the most important thing i'll ever do with my life. there's a whole lot more to life than that.

btw.
yes i am voting.
yes i know for who.
no, i'm not telling.
no, it's not your business.
no, i don't want to know who you're voting for.
yes, i do call myself a Christian.
yes, i do believe that should impact how i vote.
'nuff said.

on a brighter note, the upper room was great tonight! we moved down to the gym for the first time, and it was a packed out crowd. i'm anticipating a long term move to the gym. our old room has been packed out since last semester. the setup for the gym is awesome anyway, and really works well. paul evans gave a very relevant message about identity, and the video stuff that had been put together for friend night was hilarious. all in all, an excellent night! here's hoping we can make this move to the gym without too many hitches.

been listening to this song off of share the well called the roses. it's one of those songs that is so meaningful. really makes me long for a life free of all this materialistic junk and ultimately meaningless trash that takes up so much of our lives. just loving people and loving Jesus. wish i could be like that. check this out... took one of these cool tests about my music match. it was pretty cool.

cool indie songster
