great hike
14 June 2004

man, i am spent. i took the kids to mccormick's creek today and hiked up to wolf cave, which the guys and i went all the way through without a flashlight. it was crazy fun, and we're going back to do it again this sunday. we swam at the waterfalls there as well, climbing up the rocks and catching crawdads in the pools. all in all, it was a wicked time. the boys actually outnumbered the girls this time, and we had 9 altogether.

i'm getting close to them a lot more lately, which i know is gonna bite me at the end of july when i have to go. i can feel attachment to and from many of them, and that is a wonderful thing, but it will definitely be painful to leave.

God has poured out much blessing on the discipleship program. all of the leaders are on board and way gung ho, i love it when God's people stand together and expect great things to happen, because watch, we will not be disappointed. He will show up and do more than we could ever ask or imagine.

well, time for me to see who the worst singer in america is. the wb superstar usa finale is on in 30 minutes, and it has been my weekly addiction for a month now. it's good that it will end tonight, though; the whole premise of the show is too traumatizing.

time to scooch to the house!

yeah, you read it, scooch.
