don't be hatin'
25 February 2005

whispers have been running rampant across campus of some new social club that may or may not be coalescing in the next few months. do i care? no way beautiful people!

i got anticlub.

many of you may be wondering, "what the junk is anticlub? some evil new hate group?"

i assure you full-heartedly, there is nothing but love in the anticlub. this is difficut for many to understand, mainly because they are stuck in their childish club ways, but maybe one day they will truly comprehend the axiom that makes up everything that is anticlub.

axiom: we don't care.

yup, anticlubbers don't hate social clubs or even envy those who participate in said clubs. we don't make fun of the poorly organized attempts at organization that go on around here. we admire the ever-so-often efforts at service (excluding free car washes) that take place occasionally, even though they tend to be fueled by desires to win an annual competetion moreso than a desire to serve God in service to others. yeah, clubs are ok in our book.

still wonder what anticlub is? so do we. it's kind of like nailing jell-o to a wall. people from all backgrounds and walks of life take part in anticlub. heck, even people in social clubs are invited to join anticlub. they need not adhere to any creed or sign on any dotted line. there is no week from hades filled with inane physical stressors or mindless activities. there's not really anything that we do. we just don't care. bottom line.

we.
don't.
care.

you see, when it comes down to it, we look at things like social clubs and stuff that is plain and simple "just stuff" and say, "life should count for more. there's just gotta be more than this. clubs will not be the best thing that ever happened to me." when people look back on their life, are they going to ponder contemplatively how much less fulfilling life would have been had they not joined a club and gone hardcore? i don't think so.

in anticlub, there is no constant hubbub or organization or forced relationships. there are things that we really care about, things that have eternal value, things that really do actually matter. there is no official organizing party. there are no rules for joining. there are no rules for staying. there are no dues for paying. no pledgemasters for slaying... enough rhyme. you get the picture.

we're just a bunch of folks who love each other, and like to hang out, eat, have a good time, and really, truly care about one another.

btw, cool t-shirts coming soon. designed by yours truly.
