the sound of trains
13 July 2004

it's a lot of fun sometimes when you think you're in for an uneventful boring day, and then suddenly the tornados come out! yeah, i was sitting in my office doing nunya (road rules shtuff, actually) and all of a sudden the power quits on me. so i go outside and get the pleasure of experiencing 70+ mph winds flinging bits of sand and rocks at my face. i hadn't seen trees blowing around in the wind that bad since hurricane opal back in '95 (which destroyed my home in panama city), so i hightailed it out of there, only to discover that the main road back to the house was blocked by a bunch of collapsed trees. after much exploration i discovered an alternate route to the hizzy, where the power was out. yay.

anyway, a couple of hours later and i'm back at the office since the power is now restored. i love the benefit of living 5 minutes from work.

i think jeff's tank was getting a little warm the last week or so, so i dropped him a few ice cubes in the tank to lower the temp for a little while, and he's all hyped up on it, swimming around in there and crawling all over the place. he loves those cooler temps.

i've been chatting with a certain someone an awful lot lately (wouldn't you like to know who?!), and i think in the next few days i just may let a little cat out of the bag. i mean, if this is my blog and all, i really shouldn't be afraid to put my life happenings and goings-on on it. else it wouldn't be my blog, really.

so stay posted!

btw, here's clue #1: where am i going?
