i came across this interesting site about a relatively new sport called geocaching. it looks like a lot of fun, perhaps majorly addictive, yet you gotta have a gps unit to play, which can rack up a couple hundred bucks quickly. not opposed to seeing stuff like this go on around here though; that'd actually be pretty cool.
