so the coffeehouse was successfully pulled off last night. loved it. lots o' participation, and there were a few new faces there as well. i got many great responses. nothing negative yet, so the positives are a good focus for now. a lot of people have asked me if we're going to do it again next month, to which i reply, "if we could, then we would, but we can't, so i'm sorry but we won't." besides, we really only get to put this on the calendar once a year. i would love it, however, if we could do a coffeehouse at least once a semester or maybe even more often than that.

i've wondered before if there's such a thing as a job where you go around getting events organized for different groups, like coffeehouses. for example, "x" church that you usually do things with gets word about your skills/gifts to "y" church, who in turn says, "hey, can we hire that guy to put on the same thing for us?" do they have jobs like that out in the real world? that would be fun while i'm trying to pursue other dreams. anybody out there have a clue what i'm talkin' about?

anyway, i just returned from leading some awesome worship with laurel, my cool guitar songstress friend, and it was great. haven't done anything like that in a long time. we were asked if we could do it once a month. shweet!

one more for the road: wes (my campus minister) asked if i could lead worship again this sunday for the whole congregation. he said i could use my worship team. of course i accepted. what a privilege! leading 1,400+ people in corporate worship of God... it makes me shake in my boots if i think about it too long.
