i've been singing all day
today i was reading psalm 108, which is a pretty exciting, joyful psalm. you know, one of those, "praise Him because He is worthy of praise! sing to the Lord forever and rejoice for He is the God of so-and-so," type of psalms. it was good for today. a good motivator to enjoy the day and make it a productive one for God. i get a lot of days like that, where i'm not particularly involved in something like helping orphans and widows, but i'm doing something good and not being a lazy bum. i think God likes that, when we don't sit and fart around all day long.
so that was one thing, but it also happened to mention a whole lot of things about praise, which has left a mark on my day. everywhere i've gone today has been just that much more joyful because i am letting God bless my journey with such great depth of praise. i've got a few songs jumbling around in my head, all hymns (ha), and they're really percolatin' around in there getting me excited.
in Christ alone is beautiful, as is
how deep the Father's love for us,
if not for Christ, and
Jesus, i my cross have taken.
if you've not really heard any of those you are seriously missing out. there is so much richness in those songs. kind of like the wonderful cross.
