purpose, motivation, & justice

so it's become increasingly apparent to me that there is some sort of bizarre transparent barrier that separates people into 2 camps: couples and singles. duh-duh-duh! but really, i'm being quite serious. it just seems like when you are with another person as a couple that some things take on another meaning or have a different sort of impact. like romantic movies, for example (please fellas, don't shoot!). alone, it's just another movie that may or may not be sweet, but regardless of that fact it can always be picked apart and thrashed like a white girl wearin' fubu. enter: the couple. whatever the movie, we will love it if somebody gets married or at least hooked up in the end. that fulfills the satisfactor for us, and we're cool with it. i mean, who cares that leatherface just killed your friends as long as you get together with the fat trucker dude in the end? joking, of course... kinda. :)

next subject: i've found a new project and hobby. jen and i have started junking a little bit. had our first experience last night in the middle of a little progressive dinner thingy with lcm. we were leaving one of our stops and heading out for dessert when we noticed a wicker chair in the trash by the curb. next thing i knew we were hauling it around all excited about our nice new little toy. cut to today: we went back to the same trashpile to grab these cool cabinet panels. i think i'm gonna turn them into coatracks or something. it'll be fun to see what they look like.

sunday, april 24th will mark the 90 year anniversary of the armenian genocide. over 80% of armenian people were massacred between 1893 and 1939. many people know it.
many people don't.
many people who know it ignore it.
many people who know it refuse to acknowledge it.
the turkish government refuses to apologize.
america stands by and plays dumb.
what do you think?
be informed.

"who still talks nowadays of the extermination of the armenians?" -adolf hitler in a speech to his army on the matter of murdering polish men, women and children.
