sometimes, life must be compartmentalized.

time to breathe, dao.
in.
out.

it's been an interesting week. very busy, but not in the "run-everywhere-and-no-stopping-or-else!" way of things that periodically interrupt my life. it's been an unpredictable mix of fun-busy, superfun-busy, boring-busy, and termpaperboring-busy.

fun.
my vacation started off with the demolition derby of apartment 6302. competitors: dao vs. ben. weapon of choice: shaving cream. don't really know how it all started, but we ended up getting in a huge fight with shaving cream, which turned dirty when ben decided to break out the ice bucket in our freezer, then the mustard bottle, then the ketchup bottle, then his own belt. poor defenseless dao! not. i didn't play dirty, but i ended up using the shirt off my back, soaked in cold water, to strike all offending objects from said opponent's hands, a la indiana jones. i also figured who wants a heavy wet shirt wrapped around their face? i sure don't, so i'm thinking ben doesn't either. end result: tie... for now. the apartment: destroyed. ben ended up cleaning the living room, while i got stuck with the bathroom. personally, i think ben should have had to clean up everything. he was lousy with the aim and every mess in the apartment was his, while i hit the mark everytime and none of the shaving cream, ice, mustard or ketchup came from my mischief-making. i'm a nice guy though, so i cleaned up a little.

superfun.
tuesday. got to test out the new couples game jen and i got over a month ago in atlanta. it's called like minds. loads o' fun. naturally, because the oh-so-lucky jen and yours truly are horribly competitive, we beat the snot out of all opposition. i loved it. then, thanksgiving day we took the game to patrick and bevin's place where we spanked them (and all the other company) soundly and sent them to bed. rookies. mwaha. i can be so stinkin' evil sometimes. got to enjoy a great meal with other couples. played guitar for a while. really gotta brush up some more on that. thank goodness for the upcoming Xmas break! all around, a superfun holiday with close friends.

boring.
saw alexander at the rave. not a horrible movie, but the whole bisexuality element was way over the top, which i think hurt the actors' performances some, so the dialogue was below par. decent portrayal of history. honestly, i won't even rent it when it comes out, and it likely will never make it in any future dvd collections of mine. if a movie's gonna be three hours long, it has to be a lot more entertaining than alexander was.

termpaperboring.
due to the volume of papers i must write on my vacation, i've had to alot days to each class when i'll write. total pages written when it's all said and done: 75+. suck. it's gotten underway nicely so far. i've stuck with the schedule and will be cranking out these papers from dawn to dusk, assuming i am not overpowered by the crud that has developed in my sinuses. that's some major suckage too. throws another kink in things. now, i not only have to be pained with constant typing, but i have to be pained with aching sinuses and no voice due to the horrible drainage that has plugged my vocal cords. argh.

in my writing breaks, i nap. and eat.
